Summer of 2011
Jun. 29th, 2011 06:09 pmEven though half of my summer has been decent this week sort of sucked. First my computer account acts like crap (only mine, no one else's), then my glasses break, after that my Ipod randomly stops working, not only that but after a trip to the optometrist my mom's insurance doesn't want to work for some reason so no new glasses. All well, think positively. I've finally fixed most of the bugs on my computer, Ipod has been shipped for repairs (for free thanks to the warranty), and I'm sure the who insurance thing well get fixed up soon. I do hope so anyway. I'm tired of wearing chipped, bent glasses held together with super-glue.
Might go out of the country later this summer on a trip to visit relatives. That should hopefully be fun and be one of the highlights of my summer. I'm not sure if I can compare to last year's amazing Europe trip but this should be exciting nevertheless.
I'm not quite sure of this decision yet but I'm thinking I've buying a kindle....
They seem pretty interesting and I've been trying out the Kindle PC App for a while and it looks pretty cool. Yet, the Kindle costs $114. Even though I have a bit of money saved up I don't know if I should immediately spend it on something that expensive. I adore books. I read every single day but the Ipod decision was much easier to make. I listen to music during every hour of my waking moments except when bathing and eating. I got my Ipod during Christmas and I already have nearly over 700 songs on it. There should be more but due to a little mistake I made everything got erased a while back. I'm still trying to download all the other songs that got erased to add them back on.
Now a Kindle. Whole other thing. $114. It's cool, light, portable, easy on the eyes, and can store over 3, 500 books so I save space and money since $13 can go all the way down to $1. There's also a lot of free classics on Amazon that would normally costs around $10-$19 at Hastings. I ADORE classics. Plus, there are free books on other sites too which help save money. Not only that but the Kindle is a built in dictionary that is extremely up-dated. What to do, what to do?
I'll give it until August. If I stop "loving" Kindle in two months that means I never wanted it. If I don't I'll think about it more. I may be young but I hate making hasty shopping decisions. Everything must be planned and researched!
